About our owner and founder
Healing Families Foundation LLC is a non-profit organization dedicated to
connecting individuals with essential community-based resources to
foster sustainable prosperity and support the mental, emotional, and
physical well-being of our community members. Founded by Karlise
Newman, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a profound
background in mental health advocacy, Healing Families Foundation LLC
strives to bridge the gaps in access to crucial services for those most in
need.
Karlise's upbringing in the inner city of the Bronx, New York, shaped her
resilience and determination to overcome adversity. Her journey through
the systemic challenges that plague so many families in inner cities has
fueled her passion for creating equitable and affordable resources. As a
survivor of these harsh obstacles, Karlise has channeled her experiences
into pursuing a career in mental health services and founding an
organization that seeks to provide comprehensive support to
marginalized communities.
Our foundation offers short-term housing, food, and toiletries to those in need, along with fundraising opportunities to sustain our efforts. Join us in our journey to create a positive impact and support those who need it most.
